The NHS provides healthcare for the public through GP practices, dental surgeries, hospitals, and a variety of community services.
South Central Strategic Health Authority ( SCSHA ) manages the NHS locally, and is responsible for developing and improving services, making sure they are of high quality, and that national priorities are a critical part of them.
SCSHA recruits and trains its health professionals through NHS Education South Central ( NESC ).
NESC offers job opportunities for medical graduates, trainees, and other healthcare workers. It provides access to specialist and general training, and education necessary to develop the skills essential to their roles.
The Wessex Deanery and NESC staff based at Highcroft in Winchester will be moving to Southern House in Otterbourne during December 2008.
